Noel Lawrence, Director

Noel Lawrence has produced a body of film work that critiques cultural institutions and historical discourses of cinema. He has lectured and performed one-man shows at George Eastman House, Pacific Film Archives, The New York Underground Film Festival, as well as museums and universities worldwide. Besides his own productions, Lawrence has curated programs for Other Cinema and, along with noted director Craig Baldwin, founded Other Cinema Digital, a critically-acclaimed home video label for independent and documentary film.

A graduate of Wesleyan and Stanford universities, Mr. Lawrence has established himself within the independent film community, garnering press and acclaim from around the globe. Mr. Lawrence’s feature, The Big Footnote, is currently in development.
